Publisher's Write-Up

What happens when the spotlight is no longer focused solely on the star, but their entire family - mishaps and all? Twelve year old Sam Devine’s big sister has just become the world’s hottest singing sensation. You’d think that’s pretty cool right?

Sam can't wait for her big sister Danni to come home from touring so their family can get back to normal. Having a singing sensation for a sister is just too weird. But it seems things are only going to get weirder, as Danni's been given her own reality TV series - and they're all going to be filmed. No way does Sam want her life on screen, but the director convinces her to give it a go, at least for five days. Then it's up to her to choose. Can she handle her starring role as a pop star's little sister?

A fantastic debut novel offering the fame and glamour of X-Factor with all the wit and style of Meg Cabot and ‘believability’ of Cathy Cassidy.

My Sister's a Pop Star by Kimberly Greene tells the story of Danni, a 16 year old pop star who has been on tour for a year. When she arrives back from tour her family have the money to move from their small flat into a large, expensive house. Little do they know they would have to move in with a TV crew that owned the property and were to shoot Danni’s own reality TV show, ‘The Devine Life’.

Sam, the 12 year old lead character, is the only member of the family completely against having her life filmed for the whole nation to see but makes a deal with the shows directors to see how she feels after 5 days.

It was a good read but took quite a while to finish.
