Review by Denise M. Clark (050103) Rating (8/10) Review
by Denise M. Clark This small, compact, yet fantastic book offers a wealth of opportunities to spread cheer, encouragement or advice to anyone who opens its cover. In today’s self-centred society, author David Wagner offers suggestions on how to make one’s life more meaningful and rewarding, using a single, simple premise. Kindness. Yes, it’s that simple. How much of a difference can one person make? Plenty, if one considers the ripple effect caused by a solitary kind word or deed to anyone who needs it. Every chapter is prefaced and filled with quotes and sayings from the famous to the not-so-famous, words of encouragement and ways each one of us can make positive changes not only in our own personal lives, but in those around us as well. Author Wagner has taken an enormous amount of literary research and combined that with his own views and opinions to create a touching and reverent look at what makes humans so unique – our own humanity. A friendly, compassionate writing style, combined with the usage of wonderful and timely quotes offers the reader an encouraging avenue of hope in today’s confusion and uncertainties.
In demand as a world famous hair stylist, Wagner is the owner
of Juut Salonspas. Long identified with the beauty product Aveda,
Wagner has taught his ‘Daymaker’ concept to thousands
since 1986. |
