Publisher's Write-Up

Stevie Colvin is an unlikely heroine. She has hopeless passions and a tendency to get herself into trouble. In the opinion of her tong-suffering best friend Julia, she's a walking black spot who should be sectioned off with cones. But her impulsiveness masks a vivacious charm.

When Stevie lands a job as nanny to the children of Formula One racing driver Patrick Alexander and his wife Annabel, it's her chance to put her murky past behind her. But that's reckoning without Patrick's junior team-mate, the gorgeous Italian sex god Rafe Dussi, who has set the pulses of Edenfield village racing even faster than he drives.

Only one member of Edenfield, arrogant landowner Charles Cusack, suspects the golden boy of motor racing may not be twenty-four carat...

'An intelligent, very sexy tale ... an exciting read that is at times disturbing, but always gripping.'

'I loved this racy, pacy saga.'

This one is like comfort-food-type reading for me, I keep going back to it, time and time again. I like it because the heroine is not perfect, she struggles with her weight, has hangovers and a bad hair life - and it makes her so human that you just have to love her.

The story is fairly normal, girl meets boy that she thinks she wants, but realises that he is all style and no substance and that she really wants to be with someone else after all. But it is well written, and in spite of the fact that I can almost recite passages from it, I keep going back - much to Nigel's disgust, I must admit...
