by Jessica S. According to the curse set upon him at birth, only Angel's Fire can set him free. But Lucian has often wondered if it even exists and if it does, what could it possibly be? Even worse, what if his evil twin locates the Angel's Fire first? Imagine Lucian's surprise when he finds his Angel's Fire in the form of a small child. Evangeline Keegan is not like anyone Lucian has ever met. Not as a child and certainly not as a woman. Staying out of Evangeline's life, but never far away, Lucian watches over her until she's grown. He feels it is his duty to keep her safe from his diabolical brother, who will stop at nothing to either destroy the Angel's Fire or obtain it for himself. The thought of Evangeline at his murderous brother's mercy angers Lucien, an emotion he has long thought himself incapable of feeling. Once Evangeline's a woman grown, Lucien has a chance to get to know her... by agreeing to do an interview with the up-and-coming reporter as the reclusive Luke, a paranormal investigator. Imagine his surprise when he loses his heart to her - an organ he has long thought dead. Evangeline glows with a light from within, a light that makes Lucien feel alive and warm. After spending so much time in the dark, cold and alone, being around Evangeline is almost like a drug. But will Evangeline return his love? Can she love a cursed man who has given up the will to live? And more importantly, can she make him change his mind.
While this story starts out in times gone by, it quickly jumps
to the present day and takes off at a dead run. The reader will
be glued to their seats waiting to see what will happen next.
