by Ashlyn This book it about a 17-year-old girl named Bella Swan who moves to Forks Washington from Arizona to live with her dad. She starts at a new school where she meets a bunch of new friends. In that same day she saw a handsome boy named Edward Cullen and his siblings. She could tell from the get go that they were outsiders even though they have lived in Forks for 2 years. When they actually met for the first time in biology class he made it seem like he didn’t like her very much. After a little bit of time they finally become friends, but Bella starts to notice that she’s falling in love with him. She still knows that there’s something strange about him but doesn’t know what. One day she goes down to La Push beach with her friend and she gets told one of the local legends about the so called ‘cold ones’, who they say are the Cullen family. They are said to be only animal drinkers and do not take human lives, so there lives were spared by the quilette tribe if only they stayed off La Push land. To Bella it doesn’t seem like a big deal that she is hopelessly in love with a vampire. At least now she knows why he seemed so different. Bella now knows that Edward and his whole family are vampires. Now that his secret is out he doesn’t have to hide who he is or the fact that he is also deeply in love with Bella. When people are in love you sure know that it comes with problems, but their problems are much harder. He has to control his urges for Bella and her blood. As time goes by they fall more and more in love. A problem happens to occur when a group of other vampires, nothing like the Cullens, show up and cause a lot of problems. These vamps are not the kindest and one named James loves to play games, but not fun games like kickball. He likes more dangerous games involving his vamp skills. Life sure gets harder and harder the longer Bella lives in Forks. I fell in love with this book. It all goes through Bella’s point of view so you get to see how they fall in love with each other through her eyes. You also get to hear of what she thinks of all this. It had so much passion and adventure; you couldn’t wait to read more. I have to admit the beginning part was a snooze fest but after about a chapter or two, you really get hooked. I also have to admit that when you read about the most fantastic, charming, hunky guy ever Edward Cullen, you just can’t help but fall in love with the character the author has created in your mind. That might be why I love to read the book over and over again. At times I sure wish that I could be Bella Swan.
If your one of the 5 people who hasn’t read this book yet I think
you probably should, if you do you won’t be sorry. Don’t forget
that this is a saga and you should probably read all 4 of them,
but the first is going to be the best, at least in my opinion
it was. The books may be big but you will get so hooked that you
could have the book finished in the matter of no time. So get
a copy, kick back and relax, enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea
and just read and read.. |
