Well, I'm afraid to say it, but this was another let down from Tom Holt. I'm a great fan and get every book as soon as it comes out but even so I finished this one with a feeling of disappointment, much as I did the last.

The story doesn't seem to do anything. I couldn't get interested in the main characters or plot (what little there was!) as it just seems to ramble on without point.

I think Tom Holt should consider his next novel instead of just publishing at regular intervals and provide a vintage story that he is more than capable of. Disappointing
