Tallulah Gosh is Teresa Gordon - an ordinary girl living in an ordinary street. In fact, she feels almost invisible to the world. Except, of course, when she's in her bedroom. There she becomes lead singer with the biggest and best band in the world. But things are about to change - Tallulah is about to step out of her imagination and her bedroom and into the real world. She and her brilliant band are about to take the school talent contest and more by storm. A feat all the more surprising when you know that Tallulah and her bandmates feature pretty highly in the school's Least Likely To Succeed list. But can they all remain friends when overnight success propels them beyond their wildest bedroom dreams and ordinary becomes a thing of the past. Tallulah and the Teenstars are about to find out.

Teresa Gordon dreams of being lead singer in a band called Tallulah and the Teenstars. She's always in her bedroom singing into her hairbrush and strumming her Fender JagStang guitar. Yet as soon as she's called downstairs for tea her dream ends and she realises she's just plain old Teresa.

One day, however, her big sister's jibes encourage Teresa to give her dream a chance and she decides to enter a school talent contest.
She has just three weeks to prepare herself for the biggest challenge of her life. Will enough members come forward to join her band and who will the ultimate winner be?

Throughout this totally girly book we learn of Teresa's fears that she will be laughed at when she takes to that big stage. However with enough friends and support maybe these fears can be eliminated?

A really fun tale for young teens. The flowery illustrations are super and help to go with the whole feel of this book. Also there is an exciting edge to the way in which this is written which will further enhance its appeal to the younger generation.

After reading this book I wanted to start all over again. Teenagers will love it and will see a bit of themselves in Teresa and her friends.

This is the first of a new series of children's books by singer and actress Clare Grogan.
