Publisher's Write-Up

“Stop that movie,” Headmaster Alpo Bumblemore said, “or Hogwash is history!” He moved to the door, then turned back and said, in an almost fatherly way, “Barry, the school is depending on you. If you ever get into a tight spot and think you might not be able to stop the film, I want you to remember one thing…” He put an eczema-ravaged hand on Barry’s shoulder. “…if Hogwash closes you’ll have to get a job.”

This, I am afraid is destined for the recycle bin. I wanted to like it, because I appreciate irony as much as the next person, and I can see that Harry Potter is as rich a source as any out there in the world but unfortunately I found it to be not particularly funny.

What really put me off, however, is the mean spirit with which the subject has been treated. I do not consider my sense of humour to be lacking, but this seems to have found a gap, and I am unwilling to finish this book while there are so many other books out there that I am looking forward to enjoying.
