A man called Walter Leroy Himes has been imprisoned as a serial killer and is to be executed in 6 days time. New evidence in case comes when a witness admits that she lied at the original trial but she then vanishes. Newspaper reporter Frank Corso is asked to find the real killer but the original witness disappears. Now he is looking for the story as well as the real killer.

I really enjoyed the style of the writing, although set in Seattle, it is not too Americanised and the language easily accessible. The time frame is short, set over a few days with no break in the story, and it is this lack of time before the execution date that causes the story to move quickly. In short, it is a good read with a few twists and surprises.

At the end of Fury there is a taster chapter for the next book by G.M.Ford, called Black River, and I will have to keep an eye out for that when it comes out next year.
