General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679

BookLore does not use mailing lists, send out newsletters or marketing emails, nor does it have subscribers or user accounts. Booklore keeps no user information other than emails sent to BookLore by visitors to the site.

All such communications are one-on-one with all emails and associated email addresses stored locally in Microsoft Outlook files. Email addresses are not automatically processed.

As of the 25th May 2018 BookLore will not respond to any email received unless the sender has actively confirmed their consent to receive emails from BookLore. The following ‘opt-in’ statement should be used with all email communications:

“I confirm BookLore can respond to emails using the address provided.”

Due to time constraints we do not respond to all emails in the general running of the site, however, if this statement (or similar) is not included we will not be able to respond even if we wanted to.

Should any visitor who has previously sent emails to BookLore want their email address deleting please send an email to gdpr(at)booklore.co.uk with the subject:

“Please remove my email address from your systems.”

As of the 25th May 2018 no email addresses currently held will be used unless an Opt-In statement has been received. Should you still wish Booklore to respond you will need to send a new email including the opt-in statement above.
