Review by Sarah(3) (290212) Rating (8/10) Review
by Sarah(3) Alice's brother in law Stefan and his friend Nathan begin to work hard to clear her name and restore her perfect credit rating, but it isn't enough Alice hates to be a victim and begins her own investigations. Investigations that lead to her liberation. Alice is an enviable but likeable character. Abby McDonald has plotted this book so expertly that there are many surprises and twists that all allow for the expansion of Alice's character. Alice grows throughout the book, helping to keep the reader hooked. 'Alice felt more elegant and feminine than ever before thanks to the impulse purchase. she'd seen the item listed on Ella's debit card, but it wasn't until she was in French Connection, looking at the soft folds of fabric, that she'd been tempted to purchase it for herself.' Of course there's also room for a little romance and there is an immediate and obvious attraction between Alice and Nathan, with plenty of will they wont they? moments.
There is a great Kaleidoscope of Character's in this book all
with there own problems and quirks. Abby McDonald has created
a highly entertaining but enlightening story. |
